All funds raised from the Fred Fletcher Memorial Tournament support the Fred Fletcher Memorial Fund, a 501c3 nonprofit company. The proceeds support educational, youth engagement, and community enrichment programs and provide scholarships to high school seniors participating in music, drama, and/or athletics.

The Fred Fletcher Memorial Tournament is held in memory of Fred Fletcher, a former Marshfield mailman, co-founder of Vining & Fletcher Roofing, and lifelong resident of Marshfield, MA, who died from cancer in 2004. The tournament has been held (mostly) annually since 2005.
The Fred Fletcher Memorial Fund was founded in 2016.
